CONTEXT
COMPANY BACKGROUND
Sequis Life is an Indonesian insurance company that has been providing protection to Indonesians since 1984. I did a six-month internship as a User Experience Researcher at Sequis Life, I had the opportunity to work within the Innovation Lab department - a dedicated team focused on driving the company's digital transformation efforts. During my internship I did projects on Sequis Pro, a mobile application for insurance agents.
INSURANCE IN INDONESIA
Due to low awareness of insurance among Indonesians, a community-based approach is necessary. Insurance agents play a vital role in selling insurance products and educating customers.

BACKGROUND
As my first project as a UX Research Intern, I was tasked with creating a sitemap for Sequis Pro app. This project allowed me to gain valuable insight into the insurance industry and to become familiar with the app's user interface.

FINDINGS & TAKEAWAYS
Through conducting research and mapping out the app's architecture, I was able to identify areas for improvement and provide recommendations for enhancing the user experience, such as overlapping/redundant pages and elements as well as inconsistent use of languages and terms.
This experience served as a great starting point for my internship and laid the foundation for the research skills and knowledge I continue to develop.
